Guild Structure

The guild will be divided into groups. The purpose of these groups is to provide players new and old a voice within the guild, and specific officers to aide in grouping, guild activities, integration, and combat. Through the group officers member feedback and concerns can be brought up amongst the guild leadership. Each group will have one inner council, two officers, and then filled with veterans, members, and recruits. The guild master presides over all groups.

Guild Hierarchy

Guild Master(GM): The Guild Master oversees all guild operations. He is responsible for the overall direction of the guild. He is the chief mediator and final decision-maker in all matters. The Guild Master's goal is to keep the guild running smoothly at all times. This includes full discretion in dispute resolution. In the operation of the guild it is expected that the Guild Master rely heavily on the input of the Inner Council. The guild master holds the right to immediately dismiss members and recruits that consistently break guild policies.

Inner Council(IC): The Inner Council makes the guild run smoothly. It takes on specific delegated tasks from the Guild Master and handles any exigencies that arise in his absences. The Inner Council maintains the day-to-day operations of the guild including, political maneuvering, member disputes, and combat leadership. The IC hold the right to immediately dismiss members and recruits that consistently break guild policies.

Officer: The Officers are the leaders and mentors of the guild. Their primary responsibility is overseeing and leading members. In-game this translates into promoting guild activity, mentoring players, enforcing guild policy and handling tasks delegated by the Inner Council. Out of game, they are responsible for creating a positive environment and ensuring that everyone feels welcome within the Winterblade's community.

Officers are responsible for recruiting for their groups. Officers assist in the integration of recruits and new members into the guild. Officers are the advocates for the members within the guild. They act as a conduit for presenting member's concerns and feedback to the guild leadership.

Officers have access to the leadership discussion boards, where they may present their members concerns and offer their feedback on proposals by other senior members.

Veteran: Veterans are members that have shown initiative, commitment, and loyalty to the guild. Veterans are expected to hold themselves to a higher standard and use their initiative and experience to further strengthen the guild in and out of game. Veterans are elected by the Officers, Inner Council, and Guild Master. Veterans count as one vote for officer elections.

Member: Members are the core of the guild. The quality of our members is the strength of our guild and the fate of the Winterblades ultimately rests with its members. Members count as one vote for officer elections.

Recruit: While a game is active, a recruit has two weeks to prove himself in the guild. A recruit does not have voting power for officer. Recruits need to be voted in by the officers, IC, and GM.

Communication media: Ventrilo is required when in-game. Furthermore, being active on the forums is also very important. These are both excellent ways to learn more about your fellow guild mates and further build our community.

Recruitment: All new applicants should fill out an application and/or talk with an inner council member via private message or vent. Recruitment is based off of this application and/or interview.
